NPD launchpad October 2024

Immune-boosting supplements and personalized nutrition services take center stage in this months new product launch roundup.

October’s new launches show a shift towards functional, and flavor-enhanced nutrition solutions, where brands are increasingly adapting to consumer preferences for products that support immune health, hydration, maternal health, and overall well-being through innovation in formulations, flavors, and delivery methods.

Immune-boosting supplement

Slovenian brand Ars Pharmae d.o.o. launched BetaCold Amino. The product combines a blend of ingredients aimed at supporting overall wellness and immune health.

The release features a blend including 250 mg Kerry’s Wellmune, 100 mg of vitamin C, 15 mg of zinc, and 10 µg of vitamin D.

BetaCold Amino also boasts an amino-rich profile with leucine, valine, glutamine, and arginine to further enhance its health-boosting effects. These amino acids are known for their roles in muscle recovery and immune function.

Personalized nutrition service

Oriflame has introduced a personalized nutrition service in Spain under its Wellosophy brand, offering custom supplement packs based on individual health needs.

Through an online assessment, consumers provide details on their diet, lifestyle, and wellness goals, which are analyzed to recommend tailored supplements targeting areas like immunity, sleep, skin health, and energy.

This initiative aims to make supplementation easy and sustainable while supporting each customer’s unique health journey.

New flavors of Optimum Nutrition

Sports nutrition brand Optimum Nutrition has launched six new flavors across its popular product lines, including Gold Standard 100% Whey, Gold Standard Protein Shake, AMIN.O. ENERGY, and Micronized Creatine Powder.

The new flavors, such as Girl Scout Thin Mints and Caramel Macchiato in the Gold Standard 100% Whey and Rainbow Sherbet and Peach Mango Tango in AMIN.O. ENERGY, aim to enhance the consumer experience with trend-driven, flavorful options.

The new products, which support muscle recovery and daily protein needs, aim to prioritize taste as well as quality.

Maternal vitamins

UK retailer Boots launched its own brand ‘Bump & Beyond Pregnancy Multivitamin and Omega 3’ supplement, designed to support both mother and baby’s health throughout pregnancy.

Each pack contains 30 multivitamin tablets and 30 Omega 3 capsules, aiming to cover essential nutrients for all three trimesters.

The multivitamin tablet provides essential B vitamins for energy, folic acid to support maternal tissue growth, and a combination of zinc, selenium, vitamin C, and vitamin D to boost immune health. It also includes calcium and K for bone support, plus choline and iodine.

The omega-3 capsule contains 233 mg of DHA to support fetal brain and eye development.

Hydration and detoxification

Hanqure launched its electrolyte drink mix in sachet form designed for rapid hydration and detoxification in a new peach-twist flavor. The mix combines electrolytes with added NAC to aid in detoxifying chemicals, along with vitamin C and niacin for energy support.

Its hypotonic formula is designed to replace fluids quickly. Each sachet contains a blend of electrolytes—essential minerals that help maintain fluid balance, nerve function, and muscle contractions.

The launch of this product aims to target a broad audience, including athletes, fitness enthusiasts, travelers, and health-conscious individuals.

High-potency liquid capsules

Vantage Nutrition, a member of the ACG group, launched Vitacholine in a liquid capsule format, boasting a significantly higher concentration of choline than previously available in the market.

This patent-pending solution aims to offer brands the opportunity to provide a visually appealing, clean-label dose form, with single capsules containing between 275mg and 550mg of free choline.

The launch aims to offer an opportunity for innovation in the industry, addressing consumer preferences while alsomeeting the growing demand for effective dietary supplements.
