NPD Launchpad: From pre-workouts and hydration to mushroom blends and hormonal support

This spring's new product launches include innovation within the sports nutrition category across protein and hydration, while interest in supplements for hormonal, brain, emotional and immune health continues to grow.

Leading sports nutrition brand MyProtein launched a new pre-workout range Origin, consisting of Pre-Workout, Stim-Free and Dry Scoop lines.

Origin Pre-Workout contains beta alanine, L-arginine, L-citrulline malate, L-Theanine amino acids, as well as 300 mg of caffeine. Origin Stim-Free provides a caffeine-free alternative, and Origin Dry Scoop is the UK's first approved dry scoop formula which can instantly dissolve on the tongue without the need for mixing with liquid.

“The new Origin range has been designed for those wanting to maximize their gym sessions, and we are excited to be taking MyProtein back to its roots to mark such a monumental moment for the brand," said Neil Mistry, CEO of MyProtein. 

“In the past 12-months we have gone through a rebrand which involved proactive work to make our brand more inclusive, empowering everyone with a healthy intention. However, we do also acknowledge that part of our core consumer profile is that dedicated gym-goer whose primary focus is lifting, so we have created these new products to directly cater to their needs."

Sports nutrition brand True Sports Hydration introduced an unsweetened electrolyte drink, which aims to elevate athletic performance and recovery while enhancing intracellular hydration. 

The drink contains 99.999+% pure filtered water and is fortified with essential electrolytes including potassium, magnesium, calcium and chloride, as well as the amino acids taurine and L-serine. 

"We recognized the need for a hydration solution that not only quenches thirst but also replenishes the body with vital minerals and amino acids, supporting peak performance and rapid recovery,” said Gemma Burke, director of True Sports Hydration. "At True Sport, we're not just offering a hydration drink; we're offering a performance-enhancing solution that empowers athletes to reach their full potential."

Precision prebiotics 

NutriLeads BV added five new product applications for its precision prebiotic BeniCaros for use within foods, beverages and dietary fibers. The expanded product line-up includes varying concentration levels of the active ingredient Rhamnogalacturonan-I (RG-I)

Hormonal health 

Vitamin gummy brand Novomins has launched its new line of men’s health supplements to support a range of wellness areas including hormonal and prostate health.  

The line includes Men’s Multivitamin Gummies with added L-arginine, Siberian ginseng, CoQ10 and iodine, zinc, magnesium; B6 Gummies which aim to increase testosterone levels and immunity; and Prostate Gummies containing 13 essential vitamins and minerals, saw palmetto, lycopene and pumpkin seed extract. 

Women’s health supplement brand Our Remedy has launched a biotin, zinc, and copper supplement, containing 5,000 mcg of biotin. It targets carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism and offers skin, hair and nail benefits. 

Beyond CBD

B-Yond Performance, formally known as CBD performance, has moved beyond its flagship ingredient and expanded its line with three new products: Focus (ashwagandha, gotu kola, reishi and turmeric) to support cognitive function, memory and mood; Vitality (matcha, maca, moringa and ginseng) to boost immunity and energy levels; and Immunity (chaga, lion’s main, maitake and reishi) to fortify the body's defenses, regulate blood sugar levels, promote energy and improve cardiovascular health.
