The biohacking startup DoNotAge has expanded its portfolio of nutritional supplements which aim to reduce biological age and support health longevity, in response to increasing interest in preventative health products in the ageing population.

The UK-based manufacturer provides an array of products targeted at supporting healthy ageing, from nicotinamide riboside chloride (NR) tablets to support NAD+ levels, to creatine monohydrate powder to improve muscle and brain performance.

In addition, the company offers a biological age test kit, enabling for the determination of scores for biological, memory, hearing, eye age, as well as for inflammation. It also provides DNA reports to give insights into vitamin deficiencies, immunity, muscle, mental, and sleep health.

Founded in 2019, the company now supplies its range of 18 nutraceutical products across the global with the USA being its biggest market.

Founder and CEO Alan Graves reflects on the growth of the company which is largely thanks to the company's research focus and the expanding age range of consumers.

Graves adds: “The healthy ageing market is growing rapidly, thanks to this research that we and others do. Our key demographic is mostly those over 40 but now we know that we can start preventing much earlier, even that is shifting.

“DoNotAge has gone from strength to strength and now serves over 200,000 people globally, as well as being involved in lots of breakthrough health research,” Graves emphasises.

The research is led by the company's expert advisory board, including leading longevity professor Vera Gorbunova, PHD, who has published a number of studies on longevity over recent years.

One such publication by Gorbunova proposed that the human healthspan could be increased by interfering with pathways that collectively control ageing, and urged for the identification of rare coding variants that are known to affect phenotypes of healthy ageing.

NutraIngredients Europe will host its newly branded Active Nutrition Summit in Amsterdam from October 9-11.

An evolution of the brand's prominent annual Sports & Active Nutrition Summit, this year’s event will provide delegates with insights into the increasingly holistic and mass market view of sports nutrition, from some of the leading names in the industry.

Content pillars will cover all the hottest topics in the industry today, including: cognitive health, women’s health, life-stages nutrition, and personalisation.

Anti-ageing range

From its original range of just three ingredients at launch - NMN, resveratrol, and berberine - DoNotAge has since branched into a wide range of health categories including sleep, muscle, and joint health.

NMN (nicotinamide mononucleotide), available in capsules or powder. NMN is a derivative of Vitamin B3 that is shown to increase NAD levels. NAD, Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a a coenzyme central to metabolism and as we age our NAD levels decrease. NMN is claimed to reverse vascular ageing, stimulate blood vessel growth and boost stamina.

Recently launched solutions include its hydrolysed collagen peptides, SulforaBoost, Creatine, Omega 3, GlyNAC, and Nicotinamide Riboside.

The company also provides insights into the importance of these health areas to promote longevity based on the latest science.

Discussing the importance of sleep, Graves stresses that the lack of quality sleep can result in increased inflammation, mental health issues, impaired brain function, increased risk of heart issues, as well as a 26% higher risk of death in those obtaining less than 7 hours of sleep per night.

Their resultant ‘SureSleep’ product contains a mix of Prunus Cerasus, Rhodiola Rosea, and Valerian Root; a scientifically backed blend to help improve sleep quality, reduce fatigue, and improve the body’s response to stress.

“SureSleep has prunus cerasus, which is a tart cherry that increases melatonin without damaging your body’s ability to make it. If you want healthy, sound sleep, SureSleep is great for daily use,” Graves explains.

An additional recent launch includes ‘hydrolysed collagen peptides’, which contain 10g of collagen per scoop, with studies showing intakes of this amount can improve osteoarthritis symptoms associated with ageing.

According to Graves, the company’s best seller remains its SIRT6Activator, an ingredient derived from seaweed which promotes DNA repair, telomere protection, genomic stability, as well as inflammation support.

“It is the most powerful ingredient in the longevity space, the only verified activator of Sirtuin 6 in the world. The results our members are having is phenomenal,” he claims.
