"As humans, I think one of the things I noticed is that we have lost touch with nature and how our bodies actually interact with what we eat. From an ingredient perspective and looking at the bioactive ingredients that were on the market, one of the observations is that most of them were discovered at least 100 years ago,” said Nora Khaldi, the founder and CEO of Nuritas. “They were discovered in an ad hoc manner, meaning the people who discovered them didn't know what the purpose of discovery was. But then years later discovered that they may have a benefit for humans and then retrofitted them within a consumer need. So a lot of the ingredients we consume today were not developed for the problems of today. They were developed ad hoc in a lab, discovered for no real consumer need.”
Khaldi is hoping to flip the script by identifying specific health needs using the Nuritas Peptide finder.
