Born in a small town in Texas, Pratte said she grew up on the traditional Texan diet and didn’t realize how key nutrition was until after she graduated from Baylor and moved out west for graduate school.
“It was when I moved out to Arizona and got acquainted with some people that were actually in the industry and started talking to them about correct nutrition. It all starts with food and the importance of good supplements and I could really see even from a mental performance standpoint, like in rigorous graduate school. So then I was like, ‘oh there must be something to this.’ There's a physical aspect of activity and working out, but when you really get into it and how you're feeling and how you're performing, either in a work setting or a graduate school setting, that is when the light kind of turned on,” Pratte explained.
Her passion for health and wellness extends beyond NB Pure. Pratte also founded The Candidly, a digital wellness brand that provides women in the 40+ demographic with a thoughtful platform on subjects like mental health, beauty and wellness.
