“Our goal is to change the mushroom product industry by example towards more responsible, sustainable and transparent practices.

“We are currently raising series A investment to scale up our production capacity to match the increasing demand for our products.
“The NutraIngredients Start-up Award validates our business model: it helps us to create investor interest and create strong investor relations.”
Would you say the award win served as a stepping stone or trigger towards exploring new areas of research or business development?
“KÄÄPÄ Biotech is a research and innovation focused biotech company.
“Medicinal mushrooms are one of the strongest growing natural ingredient categories today, and this trend is expected to accelerate.
“This award illustrates the untapped potential of mushroom biotechnology. We will continue working on innovation, research and development to bring the best mushroom products to the market.”
Finally, do you have any advice for future Start-up Award applicants?
“We feel that our passion for what we do has led to winning this award.
“We are operating in a market that is booming and developing products for the most sought-after health benefits: immunity, sleep, energy and brain health.
“Our commitment to creating health and well-being for people and the environment guides our every decision and business practice - responsibility is a core value for us which leads to success.
