Delegate registration is now open for Probiota in Copenhagen, with speakers already confirmed covering topics including postbiotics, live biotherapeutics/ pharmabiotics, the skin microbiome, and much more.

Probiota, the leading annual event for the prebiotic​, probiotic ​and the microbiota ​focused food and pharma industries in Europe, will take place 23-25 February 2022 at the Scandic Copenhagen, Denmark.

The event will feature world-leading experts to present the latest scientific, technical and market insights.

Next generation solutions for weight management

Key themes running through the event include the state of the postbiotic category, the gut-brain axis, the skin microbiome, and the opportunities of Live Biotherapeutics/ Pharmabiotics.

The event will open with a keynote presentation by Prof Patrice Cani, professor of Molecular Metabolism and Nutrition, and Director at the Louvain Drug Research Institute (LDRI) of the University of Louvain (UCLouvain, Brussels, Belgium), who will discuss how best to identify next-gen probiotic candidate to target obesity.

Prof Pierre Déchelotte, MD, PhD, Director of the INSERM 1073 laboratory “Nutrition, Inflammation, and Gut-Brain Axis Dysfunction”, Chief of the Division of Nutrition, Rouen University Hospital & Co-founder of TargEDys, will continue the topic with a discussion about Hafnia alvei as a weapon in the battle against obesity.

Day 1 ends with a deep dive into fermented foods, and starts with a presentation by Bruno Pot, PhD, Science Director Europe, Yakult Europe, who will update us on progress on the journey towards recommendations for dietary microbes.
