From daily dietary microbe intake recommendations to emerging health endpoints like PCOS and weight management, and understanding the changing retail landscape, the exceptional content at the IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas Digital Summit continues today.

There is still time to register for the three day event, which started yesterday with a deep dive into the opportunities and challenges offered by artificial intelligence, gene editing and genetic engineering, and the emerging field of quorum sensing (microbial intelligence).

This blockbuster session was followed by a deep dive into the categories beyond probiotics, including prebiotics, synbiotics, postbiotics, and bacteriophages and will feature presentations and insights from Postibiotics+, the University of Nebraska, Essential Formulas, DSM North America, IFF, and Deerland Probiotics & Enzymes.

Day 2

The program continues today, June 16 with a presentation by Bruno Pot, PhD, Yakult Europe’s Science Director on Dietary Microbes and the potential for recommended intakes. Dr Pot is followed by a panel discussion examining the emerging health opportunities, from women’s health to weight management, and athletic performance and recovery, featuring experts from the Medical University of Graz, Natural Remedies, University College Cork/ APC Microbiome Ireland, FitBiomics, Culturelle, and ADM.

The second session on Day 2 explores the Changing Retail Landscape for probiotics, prebiotics and dietary supplements in the US, with experts from J. Schall Consulting, Pharmavite, NOW Health Group, Lumina Intelligence, and the International Probiotics Association.

Day 3

The final day features just one session, but what a session it will be as the Probiota Americas team looks at the immunity question, and features a keynote presentation by Paul Wischmeyer, MD, Duke University School of Medicine on the “Key Role of Probiotics in Prevention and Treatment of COVID-19 and Other Infections”.

This will be followed by a panel discussion by experts from IFF, Morinaga, Amin Talati Wasserman LLP, and  the International Probiotics Association
