Lief Lab’s CEO and Founder, Adel Villalobos, recently sat down with NutraIngredients-USA to share his insight on technology innovation and discuss some of the innovative ways the company is utilizing technology to adapt to the surge of online business.
“We knew where the hockey puck was going, we knew that the industry was going online,” said Villalobos, who credits the company’s trend-predicting data to help them navigate the business and even anticipate issues that might arise.
Looking ahead to 2021, Villalobos said he expects to see continued growth of Lief’s partnerships with entrepreneurial brands, as well as expanded technology innovation and use of Neural Networks to further advance the dietary supplement industry. According to Villalobos, this will include continued use of Machine Learning, as well as an increased use of Vision Systems to support areas like labeling and safety to ensure robust protocols for critical consumable product issues, such as allergens.
