The healthy ageing segment is now big business with demand for nutrition and food products for the elderly population at an all-time high.

At the other end of the scale, younger people are increasingly aware that the nutrition and health choices they make today will affect their quality of life in older age.

The webinar aims to explore the opportunities for innovation in this space, where top researchers and business leaders contribute in identifying the main risk factors for ageing.

This year’s line-up will also delve into the role nutrition and supplements can play to slow down ageing and maintain health as the population gets older.

Webinar line-up

The webinar kicks off with the founder of Prime Fifty, Max Gowland, discussing malnutrition in older adults and the food and supplemental approaches to ward off nutritional gaps.

DuPont Nutrition & Biosciences’ global segment lead for food and beverage, Mark Rhode then takes over with a presentation entitled ‘Ingredients for Healthy Aging,’ where topics up for discussion include the benefits of probiotics, protein and human milk oligosaccharides for the ageing process.

Atlantia Food Clinical Trials take charge of the next session with the company’s chief commercial officer Barry Skillington and senior project manager Emily Goodbody reviewing the wealth of clinical studies in elderly populations.

Here, the presenting team discuss the challenges and considerations when designing and conducting clinical trials involving elderly participants.
