Delivering 20g of protein and under 90 calories per serving, the new Clear Whey Isolate is a refreshing low-sugar shake boasting just 0.1g of fat, 0.3g of sugar, 4g of BCAA and 3g glutamine.
Available in Peach Tea, Mojito, Orange Mango, Rainbow Candy and Bitter Lemon, the product is made to be mixed with water, not milk.
Gareth Gray, head of new product development at Myprotein, explains that this innovation is based on intelligence of the rising sales of protein waters and increasing consumer demand for clear supplements such as BCAAs.
He says Myprotein initially launched Clear Whey Isolate as a limited edition product and sold out of 6,000 tubs in just five days.
“These products are considered more refreshing and easier to drink by many consumers for whom milk drinks are not appealing.”
While he points out that interest in creamy shakes shows no signs of slowing, Gray argues there is a growing interest in clear, fruity, cleaner tasting protein shakes especially during the warmer summer months.
“Ready-to-drink consumables and more convenient products are two of the trends we are currently exploring across not only Europe but the entire globe," adds Gray.
"Expect significant new releases in these areas over the next 12 months.”
