Day one (Tuesday 7th May) kicks off with Rooban Princely from FMCG Gurus talking on the shift of sports nutiriton into the mainstream consumer marketplace, and how to capitalise on the growing demand for sports nutrition products amongst “everyday” consumers.
Next up, Laetitia Guerin-Deremaux and Sophie Grard from Roquette are set look at how pea proteins and healthy carbs are the key to development of personalised sports nutrition products, while Elisabetta Frattini from Indena will tackle botanical innovation in the sports nutrition arena.
At 1pm Dr Dietrich Rein of BASF will cover a new generation of immune active peptides for sports nutrition, followed by Suzane Leser at Gelita presenting data on TENDOFORTE, the first collagen solution for stronger connective tissue in sports and exercise.
Adam Ismael of KD Pharma is then set to present on omega-3 and sports performance, while Benjamin Maclean of FrieslandCampina Ingredients will talk about native dairy proteins in performance nutrition.
Day two (Wednesday 8th May) begins with Jeroen Wouters of Foodvalley presenting on innovation in sports and nutrition before Robert C. Hickner discusses collagen’s potential health and performance benefits in sports.
Irina Beule of Innova Market Insights will then look at sports nutrition trends, while Julia Wiebe from Nektium will present data on zynamite for power output, VO2max and brain oxygenation in sports nutrition and Dr Sandra Naranjo Modad of Naturex will present on Upletic – a natural and innovative botanical solution to improve strength and performance in sports.
