Embria partner with Gee Lawson to launch EpiCor ingredient

Gee Lawson will introduce Embria’s immune and digestive health ingredient, EpiCor, to the Western European market, the companies have confirmed.

US-based Embria Health Sciences has agreed a partnership with the nutritional division of Lehvoss UK - Gee Lawson – to distribute its flagship ingredient EpiCor fermentate to key countries in Western Europe including United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, the Scandinavia and Benelux regions.

“Adding EpiCor to our portfolio gives us the opportunity to provide our customers with an immune and digestive health solution which can be applied many sectors, underpinned by science and something not currently enjoyed by many countries,” said Jonathan Shorts, head of life sciences at Lehvoss UK Ltd/Gee Lawson.

EpiCor is a natural, whole food fermentation ingredient made from a proprietary process.

The metabolite-rich composition includes proteins, fibers, polyphenols, vitamins, amino acids, polysaccharides (including beta glucans) and many other beneficial bioactive metabolite compounds that work together to support a strong immune and digestive system, said Embria in a press release.

“With our continued success in USA and other countries throughout the world, we are excited about this opportunity to expand into Western Europe, collectively among the largest dietary supplement markets in the world,” Jeff Cannon, president and CEO of Diamond V, the parent company of Embria Health Sciences, said.

“We are excited about Gee Lawson’s ability to grow demand for EpiCor in this very important region of the world that demands value, science and quality,” he added.
