Regulatory experts to open 2016 IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas

Experts from the US FDA, EFSA, Food Standards Australia New Zealand, and Anvisa will provide regulatory insights about global probiotic regulations at the 2016 IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas.

The program, which can be viewed, also includes presentations by Dr Keith Barrington, Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Montréal; Kora Lazarski, SPINS LLC; Prof Ger Rijkers, Department of Science, University College Roosevelt; Dr Robert Martindale, Oregon Health and Sciences University; and Dr Christopher Elkins, Director of the Division of Molecular Biology at the FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN).

Exploring the scientific frontier

Organized by the publishers of NutraIngredients-USA.com in conjunction with the International Probiotics Association, the IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas will explore the probiotic scientific frontier, its evolution and commercial application in food, supplements and related product areas, May 31-June 2 in Chicago.

The event is preceded by two intensive workshops: Prebiotics – Quantifying the impact on host health; and Women and their microbes – healthy aging from the start.

Abstracts

We are inviting abstract proposals from academic researchers and industry professionals on the latest state-of-the-art developments related to all aspects of prebiotic, probiotic and microbiome science relevant to health, well-being, consumers and industry ahead of IPA World Congress + Probiota Americas 2016.

All abstract submissions will be reviewed by the Probiota Americas Scientific Committee made up of leading experts from the fields of pre- and probiotics. The deadline for submission of abstracts for consideration for our Scientific Frontiers session has been extended to April 1st to be considered for an oral presentation.
