Nuritas appoints ex-Nestlé president as CEO

Emmet Browne will join the Dublin-based food science and nutrition company Nuritas, it was announced today.

Browne has worked in the pharmaceutical, nutrition and healthcare sector for 25 years and played a key role in overseeing the sale of Pfizer Nutrition to Nestlé in a 2012 healthcare deal worth nearly €12bn.

Nuritas Founder, Dr. Nora Khaldi, said that Emmet’s experience would be instrumental in the company’s growth  and would ensure that Nuritas becomes a key player on the global food stage.

Founded in 2012, Nuritas is a food therapeutics company which uses data techniques to discover bioactive natural peptides.

It claims to address health issues by "cost-effectively extracting life-changing ingredients from the billions of molecules in food and food by-products that can be added to personal care products, supplements, food and biocides.”
