‘We Love Eating’ campaign targets seven EU cities

The European Union has launched a campaign to encourage healthy eating and identify winning strategies in seven target cities.

The seven cities are Banská Bystrica in Slovakia, Bradford in the UK, Cluj-Napoca in Romania, Deventer in the Netherlands, Granollers in Spain, Poznán in Poland, and Roncq in France.

The EU-financed project aims to take “a fun and upbeat approach to healthy eating” and will focus on the pleasure of food and encouraging healthy eating. Although aimed at the general public, the campaign will have a special focus on children, pregnant women and older people – groups that have particularly important nutritional needs.

The project is intended to identify useful policy and practices that can then be introduced in other European cities or regions.
