Red Bull labeling gaffe leads to Japanese recall
Red Bull in 330ml PET bottles has reportedly been pulled off the shelves in Japan, due to use of incorrect Western-style date labeling on packaging.

The product was launched on June 4 to commemorate music contest Red Bull Live on the Road from June 1 to July 20, and Red Bull told BeverageDaily.com that the product (pictured) used a European-style month-day-year system, rather than the year-month-day style favored in Japan.

Red Bull added:"Clearly, the quality of the product is not affected by this error but we have decided to recall all units to ensure compliance with Japanese government labelling standards for perishable products," the brand said.
