Long associated with good health, curcumin, the beneficial compound found in turmeric (Curcuma longa), is however difficult for the body to absorb in the digestive tract, and much of the research surrounding the compound has used large doses of up to 12 grams in order to show results.
Antony’s research, though, has led to the development of new methods of absorption, including BCM-95 Curcumin, which is made into a small-sized particles and then re-blended with turmeric oils for naturally better absorption.
“Dr Antony’s work has meant that the power of curcumin is much more widely available than before,” said Terry Lemerond, president of EuroPharma, which makes products that contain high-absorption BCM-95 is found.
“Indeed, BCM-95 shows up to 10 times better absorption and blood retention times than standard curcumin extracts. Because of this, BCM-95 has become the preferred curcumin in leading research around the world.”
