IPA congress to make European debut in 2014

The International Probiotics Association (IPA) World Congress will make its European debut in 2014, when the key industry event will take place in Athens, Greece.

The IPA congress is due to be held between the 9th and 11th of May 2014, will also see a switch of format to a three day format that will immediately follow the 2014 Vitafoods show in Geneva.

“The 2014 World Congress will be a 3-day event, and feature simultaneous lecture sessions to provide more variety and focus covering industry, academia, and clinical research,” said Ioannis Misopoulos, general director of the International Probiotics Association.

“These welcomed changes are a testament to not only the exploding interest and demand of probiotics, which is indeed a global phenomenon, but also the popularity of the World Congress, which has become the most anticipated probiotics conference in the world.”

“We are very excited that we will be hosting the International Probiotics Association World Congress on European soil for the very first time,” he added.
