Aker earns krill processing patent in Russia
Norwegian krill supplier Aker Biomarine has won a patent for krill processing technologies in Russia (Number 2460309) for krill oils and powders that contain krill proteins and phospholipids.
Chief operating officer Matts Johansen said the company had, “a patent foothold in the sizeable Russian market.”
He added: “It is also a confirmation to see that our inventions are considered novel and non-obvious over the prior art even in one of the pioneering countries of the krill trade.”
