The new facility is dedicated to the production of lipids using the latest short-path distillation technology, which is based on soft purification that can produce waxes, flavours and fractions of molecules to obtain a variety of ingredients, especially those derived from marine oils such as Omega-3.
The company says it can now offer customised production for purified fractions of unsaponifiable vegetable oils or waxes targeting health applications for a range of food supplements as well as cosmetic products such as nutricosmetics.
“This new investment represents a very significant step that should allow us to expand our presence to a global scale,” said Stéphane Lozachemeur, Polaris managing director.
