The newly formed Horphag Research is targeting women's health and sports nutrition, its new VP of sales and business development tells NutraIngredients-USA.

Horphag Research's Markus Beba tells Stephen Daniells that the new formed division will focus on extending the application of its blockbuster Pycnogenol ingredient into food and beverages.

The company also launched a new salt enhancer at the SupplySide West show in Las Vegas, and Beba explains how this fits with the company's current pine bark extract offering.

"The salt enhancer is not a functional ingredient like Pycnogenol, but it is a tool that we are providing the food industry to address a health issue, and that's salt."
