‘It’s not a China show’: Vitafoods pan-Asian vital signs are healthy

Vitafoods Asia trade expo will open its doors for the first time in Hong Kong to an expectant region in coming days – a culmination of more than two years work by the organisers of the show that has its foundation in Europe.

Director of both events, Chris Lee, told Shane Starling why the organisers were so pleased to have attracted a multinational and intra-regional throng of more than 100 exhibitors and 2000 visitors so far, with registrations open until the show ends on September 9.

The pan-Asian nature of the show along with its tight focus on healthy and functional foods, and food supplements, is what sets it apart, Lee relayed.

“The reaction to the show has been fantastic. We’ve got a very large global exhibiting audience with the key players there.”

“The USP for this event is that it is very much a pan-Asian visitor audience. That’s what’s driving this and that is what the exhibitors want to see. They really want to see pan-Asian visitors in one place under one platform for the nutraceutical market and that is what we are trying to deliver.”

“We didn’t want to make this a China show.”
