BASF, Indena, Danisco, DSM, Naturex, Croda to exhibit at inaugural Vitafoods Asia

The first edition of Vitafoods Asia in Hong Kong has attracted more than 100 exhibitors including BASF, Indena, Danisco, DSM, Naturex, Croda to the three-day event on September 7-9.

Local trade associations and companies will also be represented including Yigeda Bio-Technology, Shaanxi Jiahe Phytocham, Handan Chen’Guang Precious Oil and Huisong Pharmaceuticals.

“The introduction of Vitafoods Asia in Hong Kong will allow Asian companies not only to discover new ingredients to hit the market, but to touch and taste them – something that can really make the difference in determining which best suit your market,” said Chris Lee, Vitafoods Asia and Vitafoods Europe event director.

“With hundreds of leading professionals within the nutraceuticals, functional food and drink ingredients, raw materials and nutricosmetics industry all in one location for three days, the event also provides a great place to network and generate new business leads.”

The convention will see global visitors mingle with firms and local experts from countries like China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia and features education modules and a finished products exhibition.

The education sessions will be kicked off by Daniel Quek, chairman of the Asean Alliance of Health Supplement Associations (AAHSA) and president of the Health Supplements Industry Association Singaprore (HSIAS).

The AAHSA consists o f member associations from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brunei and Singapore.

Other confirmed speakers include those from BASF, Croda, DSM, DECAS, CHR Hansen, Biotropics and Danisco, Innova Market Trends and Datamonitor which will present on functional food trends in the Asia Pacific.

The New Products Zone would, “display more than 70 original products, helping visitors to decide which stands they would like to visit over the course of the three-day show.”

It includes products from Institut Rosell Lallemand, BerryPharma, BioIberica, Biotivia Bioceuticals, Chr Hansen, Coland Holdings, Kemin Health Asia, Laboratoire PYC and Sinphar Pharmaceutical.
