Davos rolls out vitamin E tocotrienol ingredient in Japan and Korea

Singapore’s Davos Life Science has launched its Natural e3 delta-tocotrienol (Natural e3) vitamin E ingredient in Japan and Korea, in response to growing interest throughout Asia.

“With increased awareness on the advantages of tocotrienols, we have seen growing interest in Natural e3 throughout Asia, in particular from Japan and Korea,” explained Arthur Ling, CEO DavosLife.

“We are pleased to have established direct channels in these countries and have also launched our online store, to cater to the demand. DavosLife looks forward to working with industry partners to make the health benefits of tocotrienols better known and available,” he added.

Tocotrienols are a form of vitamin E that have traditionally been in the shadow of the more popular vitamin E form – tocopherols.

Overall, there are eight forms of vitamin E: four tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta) and four tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma, delta). Alpha-tocopherol is the main source found in supplements and in the European diet, while gamma-tocopherol is the most common form in the American diet.

Tocotrienols are only minor components in plants, although several sources with relatively high levels include palm oil, cereal grains and rice bran.

Davos’ ingredient is sourced from palm oil.
