The new office, based in Staffordshire, UK, represents RFI’s first venture into Europe, and comes in response to “numerous requests and increasing interest from the European market”, said the company’s CEO and president, Jeff Wuagneux.
In an email to NutraIngredients, Wuagneux said that the company has several products and platforms “that will attract attention from European consumers including our patented cocoa product Chocamine, which holds a patent in both the United States and Europe for cognitive function, mood, and energy.
“RFI also offers a trademarked line of potent antioxidants from fruits, botanicals, and teas called OxyPhyte. This line has been a key platform in North America and we believe it will have the same impact in Europe,” he added.
The company’s full portfolio will be offered in Europe, confirmed Wuagneux.
The new office will be led by Andrew Wainwright, who has extensive industry experience, having previously held positions with Natraceutical (Spain), Obipektin (Switzerland), and Kingfood (Australia).
“I am very excited to be launching RFI Ingredients in Europe,” said Wainwright. “This gives us the opportunity to introduce an established and well-respected business into the European market.”
Wuagneux added that the company is already established in the Asian Market through their Chinese office since 1997 and the company “will continue to further expand into the Pacific market”.
