The report looked into convenience and impulse buying habits and found energy drinks had grown at 19.9 per cent quarter to quarter over 2009, compared to 9.6 per cent for carbonated beverages as a whole.
Iced tea grew 17.3 per cent; cola grew 6.2 per cent; water, 4.8 per cent; flavoured beverages, 5 per cent; sports drinks 2 per cent.
