Fortitech aims to develop Russian fortified foods market

Fortitech Europe said it has teamed up with distributor, KUK, to develop fortification opportunities with food and beverage manufacturers in Russia and Eastern Europe.

The company manufacturers premixes for use in baby formulas, cereals, bars, dairy products, nutrition and sports drinks, juices, snacks, waters and confectionery.

Martin Austin, managing director of Fortitech Europe, claims that the expansion comes on the back of exploding consumer demand for fortified foods and beverages in Russia, as well as the rest of Eastern Europe.

"Tapping into KUK's vast experience within these marketplaces and combining it with our expertise and capabilities in the field of nutrient premixes will enable us to grow our businesses exponentially,” he said.
