The collaboration builds on a base in berry ingredients on the part of both companies. Artemis says it has built up much scientific knowledge on berry properties, which it is using to support new products such as its BerryDefence Immune Support product, and BerryForce Athletic Performance product. For Linnea's part, president Michael Granville said: "We already have a well-established position in this sector where we are known as a leading supplier of bilberry anthocyanins. "This collaboration with Artemis allows us to build on that base and offer an extended range of high quality berry products to our customers in the dietary supplement and functional food industries." Linnea is a manufacturer of botanical extracts and phytochemicals with its headquarters and facility based in Locarno, Italy. The majority of its communication in recent years has concerned its HMRlignan product. Other botanicals in its portfolio include Centella asiatica purified triterpenes, ginkgo biloba extracts, griffonia seed extract, and red clover extract.
