More than just supplying companies with ingredients, PharmaNutrients' new system also includes the use of patents, FDA-filed structure-function claims, scientific substantiation, and a library of intellectual property - all issues which a client's regulatory, science, marketing and manufacturing departments usually have to address themselves.
To help launch products and build strong brands, the company is also offering marketing support such as branding, packaging, consumer websites, collateral and print materials.
The method has initially been applied to two client-consumer brands: CLA Tone with CLA One DG and CLA Omega with Omegilin.
According to company president Mark Nottoli, PharmaNutrients' is the first such business system offered by a supplier in the dietary supplements industry, and the company has applied for a patent.
