Vitafoods 2005 looks international

One of the biggest events in the nutraceutical calendar is nearly upon us and this year Vitafoods is emphasising its international focus.

The show's organisers Leatherhead Food believe that the international presence is greater than ever before at this year's show with exhibitors from Africa, France, the UK, China, Korea and America.

The Americas will be represented by, among others, Valensa, Natural Health Solution, Renaissance Herbs and Dynamic Health, while the UK's leading companies, such as Advanced Health & Diet solutions, Netscroll, AMC Chemicals and Buckton Scott, hope to highlight their export potential.

Fifty companies from seven countries in Africa will lead the continent's drive to develop fair trade and sustainable natural products in the industry. Meanwhile, PhytoTrade Africa will be showcasing baobab fruit pulp as a nutraceutical and functional food ingredient.

The East will be represented by the China Chamber of Commerce & Medicines and Health Products Importers and Exporters, and leading companies - including Godwithus, Krin Cosmetics and KMH - from Korea.

And for those in the industry seeking to get ideas for what to do with newly purchased ingredients, the new and finished products zones should offers some inspiration.

Vitafoods International 2005 will take place between 10-12 May 2005 at Geneva Palexpo, Switzerland.
