US soybean processor ADM is launching its organic whole soybean powder NutriSoy on the European market at next month's Food Ingredients Europe show.
The ingredient, targeted at manufacturers developing dairy analogues and beverages, has also been nominated for the show's Most Innovative Food Ingredient 2003 award.
Research into the positive health benefits associated with soya has led to an increased demand for soya-containing foods and beverages. NutriSoy organic Whole Bean Powder is manufactured to retain the composition of the natural de-hulled whole beans, while maintaining the key components (proteins, okara, isoflavones, phytosterols, prebiotic sugars and oil) in their natural forms.
The product is suitable for use in soya beverages, frozen desserts and fermented soy products, according to ADM.
ADM will also be displaying its Novasoy soya isoflavones, available in 20 per cent, 40 per cent or 70 per cent concentrations, for use in dietary supplements and fortified foods and the Novasoy Daily isoflavones for a 24-hour controlled release supplement platform. It is the first supplement product to be developed and marketed using CDT (Controlled Delivery Technology), licensed to ADM by US-based SCOLR.
The firm's Specialty Ingredients division and oil and fats units ADM Noblee and SIO will also be at FiE, which takes place from 18-20 November in Frankfurt, Germany.
