Spanish choline salts manufacturer Algry Quimica announced the completion of its ISO 9001:2000 quality certification process, moving the company closer to a fully integrated quality system, it said.
The Huelva-based company recently developed and launched USP Choline Chloride and Choline Bitartrate, in order to match new regulatory requirements in the US market, permitting only USP26 or FCC5 qualities in pharma and nutraceutical applications from next year.
"Nowadays a continous and firm quality commitment is requested to compete in the fast-changing market of nutritionals and pharma ingredients," said Guillermo Rodriguez, sales manager at Algry Quimica.
The GMP-certified group also confirmed further investments at its choline salts facility at Huelva, in order to meet increasing demand and growing consumption in choline-based products.
