Child nutrition will be the main topic on the agenda tomorrow as the British Nutrition Foundation prepares to welcome industry members to its 16th annual National Nutrition Education Conference in Cambridge in the UK.
The conference, entitled 'Nutrition: Fact or Science Fiction', will take place at The Møller Centre, Cambridge on 21 June 2003. It will focus on ways in which the health of children can be influenced and improved by addressing nutrition in schools and for school children.
'Are our children eating too much salt?', 'What can be done to halt the couch potato culture?' and 'Can we really believe every food story we read?' are just a few of the questions that will be explored by food technology teachers at the conference.
There will also be a diverse range of presentations combining a blend of current research with information on what is happening in schools today. The conference aims to provide a forum for delegates who wish to be well informed about these issues, said a statement from the conference organisers.
